Job description
Allredi is hiring a Strategic Account Manager to lead customer acquisition efforts for our rapidly growing Strategic Accounts Division in the Central and Upper Midwest. Requested by our largest customers, this new role is a strategic investment to capitalize on our expanding market share in the blast, coatings, and safety markets in underserved markets.
This role can be based in any large Midwest city including Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis or Nashville. We’re looking for a competitive, tireless road warrior who thrives on building relationships, closing deals, and driving exponential growth with our largest multi-state, industrial construction/turnaround/maintenance contractors. Job requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Aggressively pursue new business opportunities with established and new strategic accounts in the blast, coatings and safety product segments.
Develop and execute strategies to grow market and wallet share across the Midwest with targeted customers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at customer job sites, regional purchasing, and national leadership and purchasing teams.
Conduct targeted on-site visits, value proposition presentations, and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
Collaborate with Allredi’s internal customer service, operations, logistics and supply chain teams to meet and exceed demanding customer expectations.
Track and report on sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics, utilizing market analysis to identify and quantify opportunities among new and existing strategic accounts.
Leverage industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to present Allredi's value proposition and secure new business.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven track record of prospecting, closing sales, and bringing on new long-term customers in the industrial or construction-related fields. Ability to outline and execute on a sales plan that meets or exceeds aggressive sales goals.
Previous broad success calling on strategic accounts with multi-state footprints and both centralized and regionalized purchasing strongly preferred.
Commitment to driving top line revenue while supporting efforts to effectively manage bottom line.
Strong familiarity with safety products including technical knowledge of key lines; ability to cross-sell, upsell and displace incumbent suppliers. Strong understanding of the Midwest industrial contractor market and customer dynamics.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly develop strong relationships with decision makers at every level of the organization and negotiate win-win solutions with suppliers and customers.
Willingness to travel extensively; must love being on-site in front of customers while prioritizing the biggest opportunities.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and relentless in pursuit of success. Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
