Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Distribution Associate to support our operations team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, inventory accuracy, and warehouse efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with enterprise systems such as Sage, SAP, Netstock, and have a solid background in logistics, inventory control, and warehouse management.

Responsibilities:

Order Shipment

·        Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing and shipping of orders in accordance with customer expectations.  Responsible for all shipments out of Small Parts Storeroom.

Inventory & Parts Management

·        Conduct regular and ad hoc cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.

·        Maintain accurate records of parts usage, inventory levels, and discrepancies in ERP systems (Sage/SAP).

·        Utilize Netstock to support demand planning and stock optimization.

ERP System Utilization

·        Input and retrieve data using ERP platforms including SAP, Sage, and Netstock.

·        Monitor part orders, backorders, and inbound/outbound shipments.

Logistics & Warehouse Operations

·        Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, and equipment.

·        Organize and maintain the parts room and warehouse for operational efficiency.

·        Support receiving processes in coordination with logistics teams.

Inventory Organization

·        Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in compliance with safety standards.

·        Load/unload delivery trucks, ensuring product integrity and timeliness.

Team Collaboration & Support

·        Collaborate with procurement, production, and maintenance teams to forecast parts requirements.

·        Support production line activities by ensuring timely availability of materials and parts.

Job requirements

Requirements:

·       2+ years successful experience in a production, logistics, or warehouse environment.

·       Proficient with ERP systems such as Sage, SAP, and Netstock; ability to learn new systems quickly.

·       Strong understanding of cycle counting, inventory control, and warehouse best practices.

·       Forklift certified or ability to become certified.

·       Experience in a parts/inventory or materials handling role.

·       Familiarity with warehouse layout optimization and inventory zoning techniques is a plus.

·       Knowledge of logistics coordination and basic supply chain principles.

·       Experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.

·       Ability to troubleshoot ERP transaction issues and escalate accordingly.

·       Very strong work ethic that drives urgency and efficiency.

WORK HOURS:

Hours are a typical office Monday-Friday schedule with night or weekend hours required as necessary for business demands.
