
Job description
The Coatings Operations Manager is responsible for supporting and managing day-to-day coatings operations at Allredi’s Gonzales, Louisiana location, with additional inventory support for the Theodore location. The position is responsible for managing the International Paint consignment inventory in accordance with contract requirements, maintaining appropriate coatings inventory levels, performing paint tinting, receiving and preparing coatings shipments, processing coatings orders, and providing customer support.
This is a hands-on operational position that requires direct involvement in warehouse and coatings activities, including material handling, forklift operation, and occasional customer deliveries.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Manage the International Paint consignment inventory in accordance with established contract guidelines and requirements.
· Manage coatings inventory levels at the Gonzales location to support customer demand and operational needs.
· Assist with coatings inventory management for the Theodore location.
· Serve as the primary individual responsible for paint tinting activities at the Gonzales location.
· Receive inbound shipments of paint, coatings, and related products and verify materials are received and handled appropriately.
· Pull, stage, and prepare coatings products and materials for outbound shipments and customer orders.
· Maintain accurate handling and organization of coatings inventory within the warehouse.
· Enter and process customer orders for coatings products.
· Provide customer support related to coatings orders, product availability, and order fulfillment.
· Coordinate coatings inventory and order needs with appropriate internal teams to support timely and accurate customer service.
· Operate forklifts and other applicable material-handling equipment in support of warehouse and coatings operations.
· Load and unload coatings products and materials as required.
· Maintain organized coatings inventory and work areas to support safe and efficient operations.
· Operate a company vehicle to make customer deliveries or transport products when necessary.
· Follow applicable company procedures and safety requirements when handling, tinting, storing, receiving, and transporting coatings and related materials.
· Perform other coatings-related operational duties as necessary to support the Gonzales location and the needs of the business.
Job requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Previous experience with industrial paint, coatings, or related products preferred.
· Experience with inventory management, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, or a related operational environment preferred.
· Experience with paint tinting or color-matching processes preferred.
· Experience with customer service and order entry preferred.
· Ability to operate a forklift; required training or certification must be maintained in accordance with company requirements.
· Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company requirements for operation of company vehicles.
· CDL is preferred based on the vehicle and delivery responsibilities assigned to the position.
· Knowledge of industrial coatings, paint products, and associated handling practices.
· Ability to manage and maintain accurate inventory.
· Ability to understand and follow consignment inventory requirements and established contract guidelines.
· Ability to perform paint tinting accurately and consistently.
· Ability to receive, organize, pull, stage, and prepare products for shipment.
· Strong attention to detail, particularly related to inventory, order entry, and product preparation.
· Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Ability to manage multiple operational priorities while maintaining accuracy and customer service.
· Ability to safely operate forklifts, material-handling equipment, and company vehicles as required.
· Regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout warehouse and work areas.
· Operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment.
· Load, unload, pull, stage, and prepare products for shipment.
· Safely handle paint, coatings, and related materials in accordance with established procedures.
· Wear required personal protective equipment when performing applicable duties.
· Operate a company vehicle and make deliveries as required.
· Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
