Job description

The Branch Support Specialist/Warehouse Associate plays a key role in supporting daily branch operations through a combination of customer service, administrative support, inventory management, and warehouse activities. This position ensures efficient branch operations by assisting customers, processing orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and safely handling warehouse duties including receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping products.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Services incoming calls by taking and processing local orders, responding to technical questions, entering sales notes, and tracking shipments.

  • Responds with urgency to customer requests for quotes of both in-stock, direct ship, and specialty items

  • Works with Allredi's Supply Chain team and preferred vendors to ensure that the customer receives their order on time and in full.

  • Promotes and maintains good customer relationships by servicing phone calls, delivering on customer needs and assisting all walk-in customers at the branch.

  • Works the “open orders” report and “back order” report daily to make sure customers are getting their orders in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for the RMA (returns) processing at the branch.

  • Shipping & receiving.

  • Order picking

  • Cycle counting/Logistics

  • Support Warehouse Operations.

  • Conducts specialty projects and performs other related duties as assigned by management, or to fulfill the “Primary Function” of the job.

Job requirements

  • 2+ years working for an industrial distributor selling safety products strongly preferred.

  • Must have solid computer skills including strong MS Excel background

  • Must possess the ability to work independently but function as a strong member of a team

  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills, be detail oriented and organized

  • Must be able to multi-task and work on many different projects at one time

  • Completion of High School degree required

  • To frequently stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

  • To occasionally sit and climb or balance,

  • Lift and/or move items ranging from ten pounds, up to, and occasionally more than one hundred pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Operate forklift properly

  • Able to lift 55lb of material or equipment
